Tattoo Removal Using Medlite™ C6 Laser
For many, a tattoo is a permanent reminder of a temporary emotion. The Medlite™ C Series Laser can make this permanent reminder disappear. Today's tattoos come in all shapes, colors and sizes; HOYA ConBio and Redrock Laser Clinic offer a system that can help you. The high energy, pulsed technology allows the tattoo to be treated with minimal risk of scarring and less discomfort than other laser treatments. The Medlite™ C6 is the laser of choice for advanced tattoo removal.

The Medlite's long wavelength, short pulse duration and high peak power combine to optimally destroy dark chromophores, with a very low risk of permanent tissue damage. Research conducted by R. Rox Anderson, MD and Suzanne Kilmer, MD at the Massachusetts General Hospital showed the 1064 nm wavelength to be most effective in the removal of black and dark blue ink, even in darker skin. The longer 1064 nm wavelength significantly lowers the risk of hypopigmentation when compared to lasers in the 600 - 800 nm range, while the short nanosecond pulse duration limits the tissue's exposure to heat build-up, therefore reducing the risk of scarring.

Red tattoo ink is very common in professional tattoos. The 532 nm wavelength is ideal for the removal of red colored ink, which is typically resistant to removal with 600 - 800 nm light. Significant red ink removal has been demonstrated with just one treatment of 532 nm.
Today, many different colors are showing up in tattoos, creating quite a challenge for physicians when removing tattoos. The 585 and 650 nm wavelengths provided with the MultiLite Handpieces gives physicians more options for treating these challenging colors. The 585 nm wavelength is used to treat sky blue inks, while the 650 nm wavelength is used to treat green inks.
